Gear Up 4 School 2021!
Reflecting on the past year, watching our community come together through many trials, we were excited and hopeful for an all-out party with our annual Gear Up 4 School event this year. Well, it didn’t quite transpire into the event we dreamed of with bounce houses and games for kids, but we still accomplished the most important thing; showing love to our neighbors.
We saw immense support from the community for this event. The generosity of Grace Chapel, SMART, Office Depot, Costco, Oregon Community Credit Union, as well as many private donors were what made this event happen. We gave out 189 backpacks full of supplies to students preparing for their upcoming school year! Thank you to West Linn-Wilsonville ISD for donating clothes to give to families in need. It is a blessing to see how our volunteers and community members came together to serve one another. A big thank you from The Heart of the City!
We are still dreaming big for next year and cannot wait to serve families and students in 2022.
Counseling Services
Did you know that The Heart of the City offers counseling services?
Heart of the City has an array of individual and group counseling services to meet the needs of our community. If you or someone you know needs counseling, please go to our counseling center page, where you can fill out the form to book in an appointment. Everyone should have access to mental health services, so we also offer low-fee counseling.
